All public schools will be required to follow certain health practices noted as “required.” Many schools may also choose to implement some or all of the recommended practices.
Durham Public School’s “Return to School” Page
If the Durham community is able to contain community spread of COVID-19 to below 4 percent for two weeks, DPS will be able to offer a return to the classroom for pre-K and elementary students beginning no earlier than January 21, 2020. Students will come to school in two groups two days a week, participating in Wellness Wednesdays and remote instruction the other three days.
